Jon Paris - Jon's IBM midrange career started when he fell in love with the System/38 while working as a consultant. This love affair ultimately led him to joining IBM.
During his IBM career, Jon played a major role in the definition of the new RPG IV language and in promoting its use with IBM Business Partners and end users. He was also heavily involved in producing educational and other support materials and services related to RPG IV and other AS/400 programming languages and development tools, such as CODE/400 - the predecessor to RDi.
Since leaving IBM Jon has focused on developing and delivering education and other services aimed at assisting IBM i shops in modernizing their applications.
Jon is one of the founders of System i Developer and will be a featured speaker at their upcoming RPG & DB2 Summit in Minneapolis.
Susan Gantner - Susan has been named an IBM Champion for Power Systems. She is a member of System i Developer, a consortium of IBM i educators Susan and her partner, Jon Paris, also make up Partner400, a consulting company focused on customized education and mentoring for IBM i developers.
Susan's career started with many years as an application developer on a variety of platforms until she met the System/38 and discovered just how special the platform was. That grew into the AS/400, since renamed (a few times) to IBM i on Power.
