Virtualization has been around a long time within IBM products. Power Systems is no stranger to virtualization and leading the industry in terms of performance, reliability and security. The VIOS is a key component within PowerVM which is the enabler for lots of great technology. This presentation will be a little bit of everything. It will cover some of the history, some of the common use cases in the ecosystem and what is the current directional trends in virtualization on IBM. Even if you're don't consider yourself a "Cloud", there are reasons to utilize virtualization on IBM i.
